Two Poems Written 04/23/2021

Meh

Not half faulty for a coin toss.
My beloved wasn't there (a plus)
I made a young stranger laugh
off cuff. 



Meanwhile, Miles Above the Freeway....

Not so much a church bell
but the sprouting of angel
wings, angle tails, combustive
trains. A civilian lollygags into

the middle lane, traffic
clots around him. Bodies
bubble red and a cat fiddles
'top a hot tuna roof. 

Leagues above, a luminarie 
observes and tuts: "Cripes!  
There's no point saving
a single soul now

begotten sons are dime a dozen!"

Rotund sweetness of slyly spent day A million chirps bevy into preening billows  So much ripeness, I blossom at the seems
